Sweet memories!

Well, cant believe that 3 long years have passed and i'll no more go to the coll after 7 months!no more setting timetables....planning for massbunks....laughing in the class....writing records in the class....horrible preparations for internals!....plans to postpone them....back up!pathetic viva!gossips in parking lot....hours to spend in canteen....cracking deadly PJ's....throwball......chess....cricket....technieks.... acefest....attending electrical fest for the sake of attendance!!study holidays....night before exams!!!hmmmm there r so many things to lose :(
There is 1 thing which i have lost already!it was a thing that used to take me away from vtu syllabus, internals ,attendance everything....complete enjoyment for 4 days, those memories for the whole semester and it'll not end there....sweet memories for lifetime!yes! i'm referring to the vtu fests! which have added unforgettable moments,experiences to my engineering life!
Held once a year,i guess this is the best event vtu is organising!
first sem it was held at Davangere i guess....though there was a circular to class didnt bother to even think abt it....was attending class after long long gap and after being the victims of the fight between the Government and Comed-K! 1st semester! wanted to study for 160 marks!!also 4-5 days some fest meant something not for me!!
Jus after 2 semesters , wanted a good break! and i saw the vtu fest poster! jus a passing thought came to the mind----how abt going !had a doubt if my parents would allow....casually asked my mom and for my surprise it was a "carry-on" response! when asked sabyatha she said'if u r coming i'm ready to come!" and v had decided to gooo! it was in hubli BVB college....going with seniors....was not very close to any1....used to think twice before speaking anything!left mysore around 9 by train and there started the enjoyment time!i have to say v really had a nice group of seniors....so friendly they were....not murmering among themselves.... helped to ease ourselves.All the fun v had in trains , time spent in the place v were let to stay!really awesome!V were not given a 5-star hotel,not even a separate room but a big hall where girls from all colleges had to sleep!!!!what an experience!V used to silently watch the overactions of some girls! and used to gossip till late night! god will not 4give me if i don mention abt the superb breakfast v had in sabyatha's cousin's place.Those soft idli's and crisp vada r still
mouth watering.How can i 4get the genorosity and warmth of srivalli and her mother! With all the fun, came to mys early morning after 4 days....v were no more seniors-juniors but a group of friends! hey super co-incidence today evening v r meeting at khanakhazana :) so apt i'm writing this blog today!
Next year it was at Nitte! happening place!this time had no thoughts of whether to go or not! was looking forward when it'd b held. Finally the dates were announced!This time v hired a durgamba bus and started! i need not say abt the fun in the bus! antakshari! pulling each others' legs!The arrangement was fantastic there....especially for us....v were given a separate room and that place was almost like a hill-station! The college once again was a marvellous building! jus cant number how many times i have felt-----will i get i college change now!!!!;)Nitte canteen wow really really good!so tasty food and was really happy for the availability of all items in the menu list!it'll b better if i myself mention abt the version of my friends who stayed in mys!even today whenever i say abt the nitte canteen idiot sumanth will say that they use cockroaches lizards etc etc in the canteen and that u have eaten all that!!!!!and gubal shilpa and shwetha add to that and start laughing :D.Outing to M'lore and a beach there very very exciting! could'nt realise that 4 days had passed !last day had dinner in a restaurnt and were abt to board our bus. there came some coll students beating drums celebrating their victory in the fest! it was such a cardial atmosphere in nitte that v didnt have the slighest sadness for not winning a single prize!v started to dance for their drums! everybody joined....it went on for nearly 20 mins! finally boarded the bus and came back again with a bunch of sweet memories!
Final year vtu fest!!!!at any cost didnt want to miss it....was at tumkur-SIT. Could'nt join every1 while going . joined them the second day!first 2 days were spent in practice for the next day events!good time in the room....where my fav pass time was to play vishwas' mridanga and tabla,bhatta's violin!r they still working properly????!!!!dinner time at "hut",visit to siddaganga mutt and a small trip to "namada chilume" were exciting!v were lucky enough to meet Dr.shivkumara swamiji there ,who is 100 years old now!was thrilled to hear his sturdy voice even at this age when he enquired abt the ongoing fest! i wonder how v have left the singing groupwithout doing any harm to them!.....they've dug our ears with the same tune practicing 100 times shouting ....'hogaaaa......asamaaaaa hogaaaaaa'!!!!and bhatta still in search of lost "shruthi"!!!!!ha ha one act play!!!! i had to play the role of "kannadambe"!godd those dialogues!!!!!had a fight scene with pavan where he was holding a sword and myself trishoola!!on the stage he really pierced me!and thus my cry was natural!!!!how can v 4get our disheartened disappointed ravikumar alias "kyata" who was clean bowled by "kyatamma" aka "kathyayini" !!!!!!words didnt come out of his mouth for 5 days after this!how much fun v have had in making praveen speak kannada,shetty's full involved poetry! (really it was good)!!!!PJ's while coming back..."short story" by rachana and myself which no 1 could understand!!;) .naveen's java class inbetween! shreesha's placement questions and our answer "shreeshange dikkara!!!!"bhatta's support for him and hence "bhattruge dikkara"!i know for sure every1 has enjoyed !lot more which cannot b put to words but can jus b felt!
back in mysore , now i'm in nostalgia....completely lost with thoughts and cant agree that this was my last vtu fest....next year i'm not allowed to go with coll team with coll code C-XX to cheer our team, to shout there , to have the same fun :( how hard it'll b to realise this next year when i'll b in the city of b'lore in a s/w company attending a client or testing some code :(.....whatever i have had good moments which'll b etched in memory!jus wanted to put in words today,at this moment all i feel, all i think
